B. General Information
In principle, you can visit the ŠKODA AUTO a.s. websites without telling us who you are. We will then automatically gain only the following protocol data:
- the operating system you are using, the web browser you are using, and the screen resolution setting you are using,
- the date and time of your visit,
- the web sites of ours that you have visited,
- the web site from which you are visiting us.
- To activate certain functionalities, the country of origin is determined on the basis of your IP and is stored temporarily if necessary
- An anonymous cookie ID
Unless the following sections contain information to the contrary, the data is processed exclusively by ŠKODA AUTO a.s..
C. Collection, processing and use of your personal data
Principles
Your personal data includes information such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or vehicle identification number. Personal data will only be collected, processed and/or used if you provide us with it voluntarily, for example to process your order or to register for the use of the repair and maintenance information or if you send us an inquiry via the website. If it is necessary to pass the data on to third parties, for example to collect the purchase price per credit card, your data will be transmitted to these third parties. Over and above this, your personal data will only be used if you have given your previous consent. e.g. to subscribe to advertising and market research.
In the "My erWin” section, you can change your user account via the link "Change registration" or deregister it. i.e. the personal reference/user account is completely cancelled.
If you do not use erWin for a period of two years, your entire registered data will be deleted.
In order to counteract misuse of data by third parties, the data is transmitted in encrypted form. Your data will be processed within the Federal Republic of Germany.
D. Your rights
You can assert your following rights at any time vis-a-vis ŠKODA AUTO a.s. free of charge:
Right of access: You have the right to receive information regarding the processing of your personal data from us.
Right of rectification: You can independently change your personal or incorrect personal data in the User Portal at any time.
Right to delete: You have the right to demand the deletion of your data if the conditions set out in Art. 17 DSGVO exist. Accordingly, you can for example request the deletion of your data if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. You can also request deletion if we process your information based on your consent and you revoke this consent.
Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your data if the conditions of Art. 18 GDPR exist. This is the case, if you challenge the correctness of your data for example. For the duration of the verification of the correctness of the data you can then demand the restriction of processing.
Right to object: If processing is used for a predominant interest or your data is used for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object against the processing of your data. An objection is admissible if processing is either in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority or due to a legitimate interest of the ŠKODA AUTO a.s. or a third party. In case of objection, we kindly ask you to inform us of the reasons for your objection to data processing. You also have the right to object against data processing for direct marketing purposes. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is linked to direct marketing.
Right of data portability: If data processing is based on consent or contract fulfilment and this is done using automated processing, you have the right to receive your data in a structured, established and machine-readable format and to communicate it to another data processor.
Right of appeal: You also have the right to appeal to a supervisory authority (e.g. The Data Protection Commissioner for the state of Lower Saxony) about our processing of your data.
